Alok Perti
IAS (Retd.)

Mr. Alok Perti is a retired senior IAS officer from Government of India . Alok holds a Bachelor’s degree in science and a master’s degree in Physics from the Allahabad University .
He also holds master’s degree in Social Planning & Policy in Developing Countries from the prestigious London School of Economics, United Kingdom.

Mr Alok Perti joined the elite Civil Services cadre ,Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in 1977 and has worked in various capacities with the Central Government and the Assam Government for several years.

During his early stint at state level in Assam , he has worked in various capacities such as Sub Divisional Magistrate, Deputy Commissioner in districts and as Joint Secretary, Secretary and Commissioner, Principal Secretary and Additional Chief Secretary at the Secretariat in various departments and functions.

With Union Govt. of India he has the credit of heading various senior positions in Ministries of Defence, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Health &Welfare, and Ministry of Coal.
In the Department of Defence Production he was Member secretary of the Kelkar Committee which gave its report on the promotion of Private Local Industry in Defence Production. In Ministry of Coal, he worked as Coal Secretary.During his stint with Ministry of Coal,he introduced GCV based grading and pricing system in the coal industry.
He has also worked as short term consultant with UNICEF and World Health Organization. In 1992 he was also member of the team in World Bank which wrote the World Development Report of 1992, which focused on Health Economics.

He was also official director on the Board of several Public Sector Companies which included Coal India Limited, Bharat Dynamics Ltd, Mazagon Dock Ltd, Goa Shipyards Ltd., Garden Reach and Shipbuilding Engineers Ltd, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd, Bharat Electronics Ltd and Neyveli Lignite Corporation Ltd. On retirement he was appointed as Advisor to the Minister of Coal and later as part-time Chairman of the Expert Appraisal Committee of Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change for hydro-electric and river projects till September2016.

Post Superannuation he has been Advisor to Bharat Forge , Jindal Stainless and Dupont for two to five years. He has also been on the board of CIL, IIFCL (Projects), DFPCL and Shalimar paints as independent director. He is presently on the board of MAL, a subsidiary of DFPCL, Equaro Sureties, NITCON and DSWA ( an animal welfare organization) as independent director.

He was also the Chairman of the Coal Preparation Society of India till 2021. He was also Director General of Indian Ammonium Nitrate Manufacturers Association till June 2024.He is DG of Domestic Coal Based Power Producers Association (DCBPPA).He is currently Chairman of the Indian Coal Forum and a member of LKMT and India Energy Forum.

Tapas Kumar Nag
Former Chairman & Managing Director, Northern Coalfields Ltd ( A Subsidiary of Coal India Limited )

Tapas Kumar Nag is a highly accomplished mining technocrat with over 38 years of leadership experience in the coal mining sector. A graduate of the prestigious Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, he has played a pivotal role in the management of both underground and large opencast mining operations, successfully leading Greenfield and Brownfield projects. His career spans key leadership roles, including serving as Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of Northern Coalfields Ltd and Director (Technical) at Central Coalfields Ltd. His tenure was marked by operational excellence, capacity expansion, and the implementation of best practices in safety and productivity. Currently, he continues to contribute to the mining and energy sectors in advisory capacities. He serves as the Chairman of the High-Level Expert Committee on Safety under the Ministry of Coal, an Expert Member (Mining) in the Conciliation Committee of Independent Experts, Ministry of Power, Government of India, and an Independent Director on multiple boards. Additionally, he works as a freelance consultant, offering strategic guidance on mining, safety, and sustainable practices. Mr. Nag is a Fellow of the World Academy of Productivity Science and the Institute of Engineers and is a Life Member of several prestigious industry bodies, including the Mining, Geological & Metallurgical Institute of India and the Indian Council of Arbitration. A recipient of numerous accolades, including the Udyog Ratan Award and the Distinguished Alumnus Award from IIT (ISM), he has also contributed significantly to the field through research and publications on clean coal technology, mine safety, land acquisition challenges, and modern coal washing techniques. With deep domain expertise and a forward-thinking approach, he continues to shape the future of the mining and minerals industry through policy advocacy, mentorship, and thought leadership.

Mohan Shukla

Mohan Shukla, a Livewire Public Policy Strategist & Swift Executioner with 40 + years of experience in Government relations & Public Affairs. Mohan is an FDI, Trade & Economic Policies Specialist and a learned guide to Parliamentary affairs of Indian Parliament. A silent, ethical and sharp lobbyist in the corporate circles of the country and has the credit of handling corporate and public affairs over 4 decades for some of the big corporate houses/MNC’s viz:-Tata group, Bharti Airtel, Pernod Ricard India, Glenmark India, Carrefour India and others.

Mohan is also a seasoned academician too and has been a visiting faculty to some of the prestigious B-Schools & Public policy institute’s viz IIPA (Indian Institute of Public Administration). Faculty of Management Studies (FMS,Delhi), IMS , ITS and others.

Having been associated as a member & chair on various committees of industry body’s like FICCI, CII and many other business council reflects his exposure and ability to scan the business and its environment is almost spot on.

Mohan Shukla has unfailingly been offering his time, talent, tips and techniques to various NGO’s and Voluntary associations viz: Impact India Foundation (Consortium of UNICEF, UNDP, WHO & Impact, UK), Multiple Solaris Society of India, Society for Education of Crippled (Child), Samparck, Seagram One Rupee Fund, Bharti Foundation etc to embark upon their journey to make a difference in the society.

Tushar Kant Mishra

Tushar Kant Mishra, A highly accomplished professional with 4 decades of experience in Materials management, procurement, contracts across the coal and mining sectors. Tushar is an expert in managing large-scale procurement operations, overseeing projects worth thousands of crores, and driving efficiency through strategic frameworks. He also has to the credit of successfully developing and implementing procurement manuals and guidelines, including for global tenders of high-capacity machinery and ERP integration, enhancing operational effectiveness across multiple divisions during his assignment as Executive Director with Coal mining giant Coal India Limited. Well known in mining circles in the country for driving innovation in supply chain management and contract negotiations, with a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and industry best practices

Tushar Kant Mishra has also been conferred with “Best CPO Award 2018” by IIMM and the “Lifetime Achievement Award 2020” from Coal India Limited, reflecting a career marked by excellence in procurement and governance.

His academic and research credentials include his role as a research scholar and lecturer, contributing to thought leadership and capacity building initiatives. A recipient of the National Merit Scholarship, combined with international exposure through programs like "Combating Fraud and Corruption in Public Sector" in Berlin, further underscores a commitment to integrity, innovation, and excellence in governance practices.

Raghav Shukla

Raghav Shukla, a distinguished corporate legal expert, brings over three decades of leadership experience across multiple industries.
A Law graduate (LL.B.) from Delhi University and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (FCS-ICSI), Raghav has extensive expertise in Corporate laws, Governance, and Regulatory landscape. His career spans prominent roles as General Counsel for leading corporations, including DIC Corporation-Japan (for India and Bangladesh), Micromax Informatics Ltd, Toppan Speciality Films (formerly Max India Group), and Prime Meiden Limited (formerly Prime Group). With a deep insight of global markets, he has fair understanding of the evolution of global regulatory framework and its potential impact on the interest of all the stakeholders.

Raghav has led multiple corporate training programs on organizational behaviour, ethics, and compliance. He has long been a visiting faculty at ICSI and has also been associated with ASSOCHAM, CII and FICCI wherein he has represented the Industry view on various topics which have resulted in effective evolution of the legislations.
With his wealth of knowledge and strategic insights, Raghav Shukla will surely play a pivotal role in strengthening MMPI’s vision and mission in the metals and minerals sector.
