Green Energy Push by Ministry of Coal

The Ministry of Coal has signed a significant agreement with Coal Gas India Limited (CGIL) to develop a Coal Gasification Plant in West Bengal, marking a major step towards cleaner energy and self-reliance. Here are the key details:

Project Overview: CGIL, a joint venture between Coal India Limited (CIL) and GAIL, will produce Synthetic Natural Gas (SNG) through coal gasification.

Financial Assistance: The Ministry of Coal is providing ₹1,350 crore in financial assistance under Category I of the Incentive Scheme for Coal Gasification.
