Roni Dutta, An ITI Student Revolutionizes Electric Mobility with Innovative E-Bike Design at mining and industrial Hub of Asansol in West Bengal

Roni Dutta, a student of the 2023-25 batch of Trade-Electrician at Ramakrishna Mission Ashram Pvt ITI in Asansol, West Bengal, India, has made headlines with his groundbreaking e-bike design. This innovative creation is poised to transform the electric mobility landscape, offering a sustainable and efficient transportation solution .
Roni’s e bike has some unique features viz
• A 5.99-inch TFT Touch Screen for a sleek and intuitive interface.
• Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Connectivity to stay connected and control your
bike from anywhere.
• Multiple Riding Modes including Eco, City, Power, and Reverse for a
tailored riding experience.
• Anti-theft Protection: In case of theft, simply register your bike’s number and make a call to lock the bike. This will also activate the rear wheel brake, effectively locking the rear wheel.
Further the bike is enabled with a Live tracking that  ensures bike’s security, equipped with a Remote Lock/Unlock: one can lock and unlock the bike from a smartphone, no matter where you are.Further the bike has a Camera Access which enables the bike to be remotely monitored for surveillance and security.One can also use the built-in touch screen as a smart phone and has a built-in internet wifi / Bluetooth connectivity .Use of  face detection technology ensures that only the owner can activate the bike. If an unauthorized user attempts access, the system sends an instant notification with the intruder’s image and bike location, The Cameras placed at the front, rear, and dashboard provide live visuals. The geo fencing feature of the bike also restricts movement beyond pre defined area triggering an automatic shutdown if breached.
Roni Dutta’s e-bike design is a testament to his exceptional skills and knowledge gained during his ITI training. His innovative approach to electric mobility has the potential to make a significant impact on the environment and the transportation sector as a whole. This innovative e-bike successfully demonstrates high security and efficiency. With a top speed of 70 k m / h and a range of 150 km per charge, it offers a practical urban commuting solution. The self-charging feature, enabled by a dynamo system, enhances battery longevity. The prototype cost approximately 270,000, but mass production could lower the price to INR 40,000-50,000, making it an affordable yet feature-rich option for the market.
