We’ll All Be Watching TV Next To Our $30,000 Tesla Robots — Unless We’re “Silly”

Some people love to spread disparaging comments, often misinformation, about “liberal elites” rather than facing the facts. It is, in fact, the Republican Party that has a billionaire president who was making $200,000 a year from his dad by the age of 3 (yes, three) as a way of Fred Trump dodging taxes. It is, in fact, the Republican Party that has the richest person on Earth acting as shadow president. It is, in fact, the Trump administration that fills its cabinet with billionaires, and focuses its legislative priority on cutting taxes for the super rich. Oh, yes, they are definitely “looking out for the little guy.”

In the latest from “Keeping Up With The Coupdashians,” billionaire U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick told viewers of Fox News that we’d all be living with $30,000 Tesla robots in our houses. And those of us who aren’t are just “silly.”

This is also the member of the Cabinet who recently told people to buy Tesla stock. That’s a completely acceptable thing for the Commerce Secretary to do, isn’t it? “It’ll never be this cheap again,” Lutnick said. I wonder how MAGA supporters who react if Obama’s or Biden’s appointed US Secretary of Commerce was telling the public which stock to buy, and particularly encouraging them to buy a stock most benefiting Biden’s biggest campaign funder and closest political ally. Never mind, I’m sure they’d be fine with it.

Back to the robots.

“Anybody who does not have a Tesla robot will be silly,” Lutnick said. “They will mow our lawn and make us coffee and our bed… and renovate our bathroom. I’m telling you, we’re both going to have really nice bathrooms.”

Well, that sounds nice. Not disconnected from the realities of normal, working class Americans at all.

Aside from the absurdity of it all, also note that the $30,000 price tag is one Elon Musk is targeting in the long term, and he thinks Tesla will need to produce more than 1 million units a year to get to that price. No worries — Elon said we’d get there, so it’ll happen, just like the 2017 LA–NYC robotaxi drive.

I’m not worried. The future of our country is clearly in good and honorable hands. Burning? What burning?
