In the press conference, XPENG Thailand emphasized its unique full-chain AI ecosystem, combining full stack vertical R&D integration, the proprietary Turing Chip, and evolving intelligence. The brand’s full-stack R&D approach enables rapid development cycles—achieving in eight months what competitors take three years to deliver. Central to this is the Turing AI Chip, a 40-core neural processor engineered for Level 4 autonomy, offering triple computing power and cloud-independent processing of 30 billion parameters. Coupled with real-world data from 500,000 global users, XPENG’s AI evolves every two days, ensuring vehicles grow smarter through monthly feature updates and quarterly OTA upgrades tailored to Thai driving patterns.

XPENG is pushing the boundaries for user experience and innovation with over-the-air (OTA) software updates featuring X-Combo Smart Scenario System – a personalized driving experience with over 360 intelligent control modules for enhanced mobility.

In the press Q&A session, James also expressed that Thailand will be one of XPENG’s pioneering international markets to achieve advanced autonomous driving globally. The aim is to enable the hardware-ready XPENG models to complete the local test of driverless AI parking (i.e Auto Reparking) in Thailand as early as Q2 2025.

Besides, XPENG has initiated the deployment of its brand-specific charging network in Thailand, marking a significant milestone as the first automaker to achieve full interoperability within the country’s EV infrastructure. This strategic move positions XPENG to establish the largest charging network platform in Thailand, ensuring the most extensive coverage nationwide. The company plans to launch its ultra-fast charging network globally, starting with key Southeast Asian markets, including Thailand, in 2025. This initiative underscores XPENG’s commitment to enhancing the electric vehicle ecosystem and providing seamless charging experiences for its customers.

The ultra-smart X9 MPV, now available in a Premium variant, reinforces its success with 700 pre-orders and 300 right-hand-drive units already delivered. The Premium model inherited starship-inspired design, cutting-edge technology, and family-centric features. To echo the active lifestyle of XPENG’s high end targeted audience, from April 2025, XPENG introduces the ASEAN Borderless Warranty Programme. This allows customers to access seamless service coverage in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore, making it a practical choice for those seeking seamless mobility across cities in the region.
